At Power-Fest 96, T.J. Richter became PLW champion when he defeated Amazin' Jay. Richter acquired the mask and wrestling gear of Jay's scheduled opponent, Knightmare. This deception had Jay confused for most of the match, as Richter's style was different from Knightmare's.

June 30, 1993
Maniacal Mark became PLW champion when he beat Amazin' Jay in the final match of a tournament for the vacated title.
